Matthew Harry's family food

haha this time you will get a better feel for what we really eat like :)

Enchilada, spanish rice, buttery cornbread

country fried steaks, rolls, fried potatoes, green beans

pizza, bread sticks, chips, soda

Spaghetti, cornbread (yes instead of garlic bread due to the amount that gets eaten!)

Spicy Cheese burger soup, Sally Lunn's batter bread, salad

Taco Platter and chips -for small group potluck

Potato soup, left over sally lunn's batter bread, salad

Chicken Tortilla Casserole, French bread, salad

Well that is really it this time...mainly because I had lots of groceries from last time and have neglected going shopping until now. That leaves only six meals to actually make and Matthew and I have been doing Chinese Fridays which leaves one night open for kid food since we eat a late lunch just the two of us and then are too full for dinner ;) He just takes left overs to work for much later in the evening and I eat my standard salad with cottage cheese and salsa. We are pretty boring lunch people normally. So I guess that means you will get another update on our menu next week sometime.

um...Yeah, I don't have enough for you to come everyday but I could probably swing once a week :) LOL! I got bored so you can add Brocoli cheese soup to that list.

Hmmm, so do you eat too much garlic bread and therefore refuse to make it, or do you LOVE cornbread so much that you consume it at every opportunity including spaghetti night? OR is it that you don't eat enough garlic bread thus making it a waste of time to make any? LOL! Sorry, I got stuck on that little comment and keep thinking up different ways to interpret it :D. I generally think cornbread is pretty bleh, but could gobble down a whole loaf of garlic bread quite happily (who cares about the spaghetti?!!) Haha. Anywho, you don't even have to respond to this comment if you don't want to... I'm just feeling goofy right now (on a coffee high!) :). Thanks for sharing!!

:) I guess I didn't explain really well. We eat too much for me to want to make it on a regular basis so I plan for cornbread (which my recipe is not bland or dry) and then if I see it on sale at Wal-mart on the discount rack I grab as many as they have for a special treat. This week it was rye rolls and french bread. The french bread is gone but Matthew and I will finish the rye ones because the kids didn't like them at the family dinner with my folks last night. They were good rolls! Crazy kids...

Hey! I was looking for supper ideas for tonight and ended up thinking Sara's spicy cheeseburger soup sounded good. I found a recipe here: http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Spicy-Cheeseburger-Soup and it was REALLY good!!! Even Titus liked it! So thanks for the inspiration, Sara!!!

Yup that is the same recipe. Guess I should have said that I get all my recipes from TOH or AllRecipes.com unless I find them here or are given them by Matthew.
