Chewy Brownie Cookies

2/3 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 T. water
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2 c. chocolate chips

Mix the shortening, sugar, water and vanilla until well blended. Add the eggs and beat well. Combine the dry ingredients, then mix together until just blended. Add the chocolate chips. place on an ungreased cookie tray. Bake at 350 for 7-9 minutes. Do not over bake! They will appear light and soft. Cool on the tray for a minute before removing.

Another recipe you probably all have, but it wasn't on here yet! We were planning on doing these, but for some odd reason we could not find chocolate chips anywhere. So we made them anyway using chopped pecans instead of the chocolate chips. Good, but I think they would be better with both. Very popular around here!

Mmmm, this is my favorite cookie recipe in the world, I think. And that is a very cool tray/plate thingy!
